Oh.

Yeah, so I’ve been up to mucha nothing. Well, that isn’t altogether true- I did “work” a few hours today. But on stuff I wanted to work on. And in between nice long rests in my cozy recliner, cuddled up in a blanket- in charge of a remote.. alternating between my knitting and a book during commercials. My husband even periodically delivered goodies to me including: cookies, brownies and hot chocolate.

Life is altogether rough.

So there you have it. Me on vacation.

Tomorrow I’ll work a few hours and then pull the same crap all over again. Recliner-book-knitting-tv-recliner-book-knitting-tv. Oh yeah, I have to babysit in the evening. Puppy and kid. But wait! My husband is off tomorrow! No I don’t! Muahahaha.

I’m in a great mood today because I know just how lucky we are. My family is safe, we’re together, we are happy and we are spoiled rotten. Not even a stomach bug, which kept me up half the night, is going to get me down today. (Unless the kiddo’s get it! *crosses fingers* I’m actually thinking it was something I ate though…)

I can’t wait to spend time with family today, and for the kids to open their presents tomorrow, and to surprise our best friends with a sweet little puppy tomorrow afternoon. (Well, it’ll be a surprise for the kids, I ended up telling their mom and dad lest they might kill me.)

Wishing you and yours blessings this Christmas… stay safe!

The Barbie Diamond Castle. Wanna know why? Because the characters are: Princess Liana, Lillie the puppy and Phaedra the muse. The card on the top tier says “To Lillie & Liana”.

Well, I survived the weekend. Just barely, I think! The girls party was a blast, despite having a lot of cancellations. We had a full house regardless and the food was plenty, the kids had a great time and I loved catching up with old friends. I was grateful that my best friend made it in time to hang out a while, despite being exhausted from having been out of state for a few days and stuck at an airport most of the day. Success.

Yesterday was another party at my aunt’s house, and I had to drag myself there. I was really wiped! I look forward to being in better health so I can tolerate lot’s of activity (and five+ glasses of champagne) better. Hee. We got lot’s of new goodies and had a great time watching the kids have fun - it’s cool to get together with my cousins and have our kids play as we once did!

We came home from the party and met up with my parents across the street to swap gifts since Dad has to work Christmas Eve and Christmas day. I got the 80’s themed Guitar Hero game for PS2, stokage! I beat it (on medium) this afternoon, of course. :P

Then Joey and I stayed up until much to late watching a couple movies- Hancock and The Dark Knight. Both excellent and highly recommended! It was a late night well spent.

Today was a day of rest. I feel much better than I did yesterday, but was eager to do much of nothing. Ditto for tomorrow. I have some Christmas presents to finish up, but I’ll be able to do it at a leisurely pace.

Christmas Eve we will go to my husband’s family’s abode… and Christmas day I get to surprise my best friends with something pretty outrageous. Which they might refuse. But that’s ok because if they don’t want it I’ll keep it. :P

I hope ya’ll are staying warm and being leisurely too- and having as much fun as we are this holiday season! I’m off to knit some more… See ya ’round!
