Again

Maybe I should just be an event planner. Once again I’ve taken on much more of a role than photographer with a bride and groom. Not only will I be taking their photos- I made their video slideshow, the bride’s veil, the bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts, and will book their honeymoon for them. All stuff I love to do. All stuff I offer to do when the bride tells me she needs it done because I love to do it.

So now I’m thinking- give up my web design business… open up the portrait studio, and an event planning business on the side. Hrm. It’s a thought.

I wish that web design was a much more rewarding career than it is. It’s neat, I’ll admit. The money isn’t bad and could be a lot better if I wanted to work with a different crowd than I do. I’m proud of what I do. But it’s SO STRESSFUL. And the projects are long term. And it requires my butt is firmly planted in my chair for a lot of hours a day. More and more I think I’d be happier doing something(s) else.

It’s the song that never ends… it just goes on and on again!
