Yesterday I got to do a few good deeds. And I had a really fun day. I spent much it making a practice dress from muslin from a new pattern I got while out with Valerie the other night. I haven’t sewed in forever! It took a long time to make the practice dress and there were a few times I thought that I should have just made the real deal and saved myself the afternoon. But I’m really glad I did- I won’t be wasting expensive fabric now. The top was way too big, the bottom just right. I’ve always been a little disproportionate that way.
The week is about to begin and I have to admit, I’m still not ready to sit back down to the computer and design. I still feel restless at my desk. I’m not sure how much more time I might need to get back into my groove but I know that this too shall pass. Until then I’m doing everything I can to enjoy my life, enjoy my family and rest my weary everything.
The pool is full and going getting it’s first shock. The weather is cooler, and a little rain yesterday knocked the junk from last weeks wind storm out of the air. Liana is finally feeling better after several weeks sick. The big kids don’t have school tomorrow. We are going camping this weekend with Val and family. And I’M GOING TO GEORGE MICHAEL. With Valerie! I gotta have faith…..
