I guess it isn’t quite spring yet but it sure feels like it here in Central Cali, and today the kids tracked off school for the month of March - so we’re calling it the beginning of spring vacation. 
It will sure be nice not to have to run around constantly for a while! Hopefully we’ll be able to do some fun things and make some great memories together in these next few weeks.
Since today was the last day of school the big kids got their report cards. I’m so proud of the kids, they are doing so great!

5th grade
Reading : 5 (advanced)
Writing : 4 (proficient)
Mathematics : 4
History/Social Science : 4
Science : 4
Physical Education : O (outstanding)
Life Skills : S (satisfactory)
His teacher says (exerpt): Michael was our top reader with 129.6 points this trimester! …. I am extremely proud of the improvements that Michael has made! Reading range 5.9 -10 (I’m assuming this is grade level)

Her teacher says (exerpt) : She continues to excel by leaps and bounds. She continuously pushes herself to learn new concepts. Reading level is above grade level at this time in all types of literature. She consistantly shows insightful, thoughtful comprehension, excellent fluency and decoding.
We let the kids choose dessert tonight to celebrate and we got “cake!” three for three.
