- What is the last thing you watched on TV? I watched a few minutes of Eureka last night because my mom said it was one of her favorite shows. I couldn’t get into it.

- With the exception of the computer, what can you hear? Michael talking. Mary on So You Think You Can Dance screaming.
- When did you last step outside? What were you doing? I was smoking a cigarette and talking on the phone.
- Did you dream last night? I dream every night.
- Do you remember your dreams? Always.
- When did you last laugh? The last time I really laughed and meant it was when I was playing with Ra, one of our kittens, the other night- I had him spinning in circles until he got so dizzy he fell over. It killed me.

- What is on the walls of the room you are in? Various things. One of my husbands certificates from work. Pics of family. I have a corkboard covered in pictures, certificates, keepsakes and things on one wall. A calendar on another wall. And the kids point board is near the bearded dragon enclosure. Instead of an allowance our children earn their money by doing extra chores, for which they earn a certain set amount of points. The cool catch is, if they misbehave we take points away. So they have to help around the house and behave if they want their cash. And they do.

- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? Somewhere near here, in California at least. I have a fascination with living in Tahoe someday. In a slightly bigger house with a much bigger yard. And a studio, with lot’s of windows and workspace and storage.

- If you could change something about your home, without worry about expense or mess, what would you do? Move. I mean, it’s a lovely house. But we’re in a cul de sac, our backyard is commonly referred to as “the swamp of no hope” and we would love our own garden.

- Have you ever ridden on a motorbike? Yes. I remember the first time- I was maybe 7. Dad was trying to show me how to do stuff and I just took off on accident- then I didn’t know how to break and lost control, ending up through a barbed wire fence and in a ditch. Go, me!
- Would you go bungee jumping or sky diving? Sky diving. I’m afraid I’d discombobulate if I bungee jumped.
- Do you have a garden? I grow flowers. I want to plant a vegetable garden. I’m planting an herb garden today.

- What is the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning? Owww. I’m always in pain when I wake.

On my actual birthday I just kinda milled about. Dad was having tests done, the kids were home and Joey had to work. I sewed and read and surfed the net and ate a lot of crap.

- Is there anything going on this weekend? Cleaning. Setting up my portable photog studio in the family room. Maternity and Senior shoots. Dropping off prints.
- How are you feeling right now? Restless. Little bit of anxiety. Been worried about dad. In some pain. Hands are crampy, shoulder is sore, foot is screaming. You asked.

- If you had A Big Win in the Lottery, how long would you wait to tell people? I don’t know, that’s a good question. It’d be scary. Money can certainly make things messy. I’d be thinking it through first.

- What is the last movie that you saw at the cinema? Not sure. It’s been a while. And I don’t get there often.

- What do you do for a living? Graphic Design, Web Design, Photography, Copy Writing. But I’m seriously considering cutting out the web design and copy writing and specializing in photography and photo product design.
- Do you love your job? LOVE. Well, I’m loving the photography and graphic design. I’m starting to loathe the web design. The projects are just so long term. And intangible. And I’m stuck in my home office. I miss interacting with people.
- What did you want to be when you grew up? Before I realized my singing voice was whack, a singer and musician. Then, a marine biologist. For a while, when I was young and sweet- I wanted to be a nurse like my mom. But always, I wanted to be an artist. I just never imagined I would be able to actually do it!
- If you could have any job, what would you want to do/be? I love what I do but I would like to write a novel or three- I’d also like to get good enough at photography to sell some of my photography as prints/books/postcards/calendars.
- Which came first the chicken or the egg? The microorganism?
- How many keys on your key ring? Five or so.
- Where would you retire to? I want to own a RV and travel all over.
- What kind of car do you drive? I don’t, but I own a honda.

- What are you reading now? I’m just finishing up with Magician : Apprentice by Raymond Feist. About to read the next book in the series.

Then I was trying to have a conversation with Michael and the only thing he would say in response to anything I asked was “poop log”. He’d say it in a singsong voice, and then in a stern manner, and then he’d spit it out all enunciated or drag it out. “Poooooop. Loooog.”

- Where would you retire to? I want to say Lake Tahoe but I’m not sure how I’d manage the winter weather when I am elderly, and I’m not planning my retirement any time soon.
- What kind of car do you drive? I don’t, I actually don’t even have a driver’s license at the moment.
- What are your best physical features? Umm. You know. I’m not sure. Ask my husband?
- What are your best characteristics? I’m organized, loyal, open minded. I love to have fun and live my life. I’m patient, but I don’t take abuse lying down. I am strong and ambitious and usually altruistic. I am dedicated to being a good person, and to helping my children be good people. I work hard. I like myself and believe in others. I sure think alot of myself, eh? Perhaps I should take out “altruistic”. LOL
- If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation where would you go? At the moment we are planning trips to Vancouver and a seven state tour of the western United States. After that I’d like to go to NYC. And then Hawaii. And then Italy, Ireland, Paris, Thailand, Africa.
- What kind of books do you like to read? I love it all. Even horror, which I find interesting since I can’t stand horror movies.
- Where would you want to retire to? Didn’t I just answer that question?
- What is your favorite time of the day? In the evenings, after the kids homework is finished and the work day is done- when my family has time to interact and have fun together.
- Where did you grow up? Central California
- How far away from your birthplace do you live now? About 15 miles.
- What are you reading now? I’m just finishing up The Pillars of the Earth and I’m halfway through The Complete Guide to Asperger’s Syndrome.
- Are you a morning person or a night owl? Night owl. Although I’m finding that it’s harder for me to be productive in the evenings- I used to be able to work at night after the kids went to bed but these days I can’t concentrate and relish my quiet evenings in front of the TV or curled up in my recliner, book in hand.

Just one memory that popped into my mind out of dozens- I’ll never forget the time that a giant mule deer stole my brother’s hamburger out of his hand on a trip to Colorado once. I screamed bloody murder and it looked at me like, “what?! Damn girl, shut up! This is a bad ass burger!” As it stood there and chomped it down nonchalantly.

Also, we have recently wrapped up plans to take vacation in July to see my family in Colorado- and also to visit Mesa Verde, Grand Canyon and more. I could go on and on, this is a particularly exciting time of my life! So many things are falling into place and I have such big plans for the next 18 months!
